Especially large pumps, agitators, mixers, autoclaves, filters, calenders, fermenters, and similar units with large shafts often have a tendency to move eccentrically.

This applies to both axial, radial, and swinging movements. Traditional mechanical seals cannot cope with these extreme conditions.

DEPAC offers the mechanical seal type 365 specifically for such applications. With its unique design featuring a “floating” seal face, the mechanical seal has the ability to absorb these excessive movements within the seal itself and still maintain the seal faces in contact with each other at the same pressure ratio.

This mechanical seal operates reliably and independently from any shaft movement.
